While watching the recordings I caught something new that I'd missed during the live training. St. Ignatius lived at the same time in history as Martin Luther. I'd never put those dates together, and I found it very interesting, especially because I grew up Lutheran and hearing that story. How funny to realize that in adulthood I've chosen someone from the same time period to lead me closer to Jesus.

If anyone else has made interesting connections or has a fun fact about the time period St. Ignatius lived in, I'd love to hear about it. It's powerful in helping me immerse more in the frame of reference Ignatius was coming from while writing the Spiritual Exercises.
